Inclusive Community Life - Inclusion Cayman

Inclusion Cayman knows all children should have opportunities for an inclusive community life.

Sometimes in Cayman, families can find it challenging to find welcoming, inclusive community life offerings. We support all families in accessing the recreational activities and community events of their choice. We equally want to support community and recreation providers to successfully include individuals with disabilities.

If you have a child with a disability and you answer yes to any of the following bullet points we recommend you contact us.

My child is not accessing any inclusive sports, recreation or community life opportunities
My child has limited opportunities to be with peers without disabilities
I am having a hard time accessing sports or community recreational activities for my child
I am fearful of reaching out to community organizations because of rejection
I am fearful of reaching out to recreational sports organizations because of rejection
I have been told that my child cannot participate without a 1:1 support
I have been told that we are not welcome at all

We want to support families by reaching out to service providers, as well as supporting all recreation providers in the Cayman Islands, in understanding the value and the importance of an inclusive community life along with all the benefits, such as life-long friendships, resources, and peer connections that these programs deliver. We believe in empowering families and community service providers so that an inclusive community life is achieveable for all community members in The Cayman Islands.
