Building inclusion into education

Empowering Minds. Supporting Families. Creating Access.

Education sits at the heart of Inclusion Cayman’s mission. Our Education pillar is built on three equally vital commitments: supporting families as they navigate the education system (from preschool to tertiary and beyond), supporting educators to build capacity in their classrooms, and building inclusive understanding across workplaces, and the wider community.

What we do

Family Support & Advocacy

For many families in Cayman, the education system can feel like uncharted waters, particularly when a child learns differently, needs considerations, or is at risk of exclusion. Education is not guaranteed for every child in Cayman, and families are living with that fear every day.

Inclusion Cayman exists to stand beside those families, and above all, we walk hand in hand, ensuring families are heard, supported, and never alone.

We work directly with parents and caregivers from preschool through primary, secondary, and tertiary education, providing practical, informed, and compassionate support at every stage. When requested, our team goes into schools, meets with teachers and administrators, helps develop individualized plans, and advocates for children whose placements in mainstream classrooms may be at risk.

When families feel they are “on the edge of their seats,” worried about what comes next, we step in, not as outsiders, but as partners.

At its core, our work is about belonging, ensuring that children of all abilities can learn alongside their peers, and that families are not left to face an overwhelming system alone.

Educator Support

We believe all children belong together in the classroom. Our team works directly with all schools to support inclusive education in practice, not just in theory. This includes collaborating with teachers, learning support teams, and school leadership to create environments where diverse learners can thrive.

Our goal is not just access, but sustained success, understanding, and belonging for every child to thrive alongside their peers.
